Jesus is the only way to salvation.Onlyby repenting of our sins and inaccepting Jesus' sacrificecanwe receive forgiveness. Without Jesus we cannot have a relationship with God. Salvation is God's free gift to man. It is not a result of what we do, but it is only availablebecause ofGod's unmeritedfavor. By believing that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died to pay for our sins,thatHe was resurrected and ascended toheaven, and in inviting Him to be the Lord of our lives,canwe be saved.(Ephesians 2:8-9,Romans 5:1,Romans 3:24,Romans 10:9-10)
Baptismby water, as taught and demonstrated by Jesus, is part of becoming a child of God. As we read in Romans chapter 6, through baptism, believers identify with the death, burial and resurrection of JesusChrist.(Matthew 28:19,Romans 6:4,Matthew 3:13-17)
Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a gift from Godthat helps empower believers to develop the character of Christ and live every day in God's will and in accomplishing His plan for our lives.(Matthew 3:11,Acts 2:4)
Spiritual gifts are for all believers, with the purpose to strengthenthe body of Christ (all believers)andisproof of God's existence and power to unbelievers. The gifts of the Spirit never ceasedandarestillactive and relevant today.(1 Corinthians 12:4-11,1 Peter 4:10)
Communion,the Lord's Supper,honors the covenant in which the bread represents Jesus' body and the wine is His blood shed for us at the cross. The Lord Jesus requires this as a remembrance of His sacrifice for us on the cross andis an act of unity with Him and one another. (Luke 22:19-20,1 Corinthians 10:16-17)
Sanctification is the ongoing process of allowing God's character to be developed in us.We are called to live holy lives for Jesus.(1 Peter 1:16,Romans 6:19,Galatians 5:22-25)
Healing is God's will. Jesusnot only paid the price for our salvation, but also for our healing.By His stripes we were healed.Jesus is our Healer. Healing includes physical, mental, emotional and spiritual restoration.(Psalms 103:3,Isaiah 53:4-5,Luke 9:11,Matthew 9:35,Acts 10:38,Matthew 10:1,1 Peter 2:24)
Jesus will returnin the cloudsand “call all believers up” from this earth in what is known as, the rapture,at which time, all believers, past and present will receive newincorruptible,glorified bodies. It will happenbeforethe wrath of Godthatwillbe sent upon thisearthandthe evil ones.(Acts 1:11,1 Thessalonians 4:13-17,Hebrews 9:28)
TheSecond Coming and Millennium,will be preceded by the battle at Armageddon.Jesus Christ will rule and reign as King on this earth for 1000 years,during what is called the Millennium.(Revelation 16:12-16,17:14,19:11-14,20:4-6)
The final judgment, a new heaven and a new earth.Following the final judgment of the lost, at the great, white throne of Judgment, there will be a new heaven and earth which, the Holy City, the New Jerusalem of heaven, will come down upon. The old earth and its heavens will be destroyed, and all evil will be cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 19:20,20:1-3,10,11-15,21:1-2, 2 Peter 3:7)
